After our first game, this questions (and many more that researching in the forum were perfectly answered) appear. Some of them are just to be sure how to play it, because for some reason I doubt about them.
1)
No gold at all. My kid bought a Frigate spending all his gold… after that, we realize that he can not continue the game without turn into a pirate. Is this right? Or does exist some way to get some money without having a single coin? (we had no pirates to attack in the board)
2)
Combat to a player in a port. Is it possible to fight against a player that is in a port?
3)
Moving NPC. I know that some Event cards says where to move the NPC and if some Hunted is close/adjacent should be taken into account instead of doing what the card says, but… If the event card has no NPC Icons… and the Pirate to be hunted is in the same sea zone or adjacent sea zone, should the NPC to move, even without any event card that allow it?
4)
Crew for a new ship. My kid bought a Frigate, he had an sloop, the new boat need 4 crew and the sloop had 2 crew… the manual says that the crew is moved from the old boat to the new boat, does this mean that when I buy a boat, I should buy or test leadership to fulfill the new boat? Or when you buy a boat it comes with the full crew?
5)
Trying to buy an improvement that the player already have. The improvements are face down, so you don’t know what are you paying for. My question is, if I pay for the improvement, and when turning the token face up I see that is an improvement I already have, should I spend the 3 gold anyway? or it ends there and I keep the gold and just turn the improvement face down back in that port and that’s it?
6)
How much gold do you have?. Can any player ask other player how much gold is in his ship (player board)?
7)
Merchants tracker board. When one merchant token is removed from a sea zone, is it put face down or face up in the merchant tracker in the main board?
Thanks a lot, I know that the manual is very good, but my English is not great, and some things are ambiguous to me. My fault, not manual fault.
Eduardo.
